Pastor Bob Carroll tells us about many reasons that people pray. But he points to a few good reasons from Scripture that we should pray. One of these reasons is that God sent Jesus to us, and our response should be prayer. We pray as a response to whom God is.
Dr. Ralph Korner delivered the message today from Isaiah 61:1-3, Luke 4:14-20 and Isaiah 56:1-8. He took us on a journey through a Franciscan Benediction while giving us opportunities to practice prayer in a practical way.
Click the READ MORE tab below to view the Franciscan Benediction. Pastor Joel David brings a message about the importance of prayer. In fact, Christians who don't pray are sinning. We are commanded to pray. Our primary work is prayer; every other work is secondary. Unless we consciously decide to spend more time in prayer, our time will default to doing something else, most likely frivolous.
Pastor Bob knows that we should cultivate a prayer life individually. However, when we pray corporately, Jesus is surely there in the midst of us. For Scripture tells us that where two or three are gathered in His name, there He is in our midst. Matthew 6:9-13.
Pastor Bob speaks about how we are walking in favour with God because Jesus Christ lives in us. From Luke 1,2,3. Originally broadcast Dec 21st.
