Pastor Stew used excerpts from the film, The Straight Story, a 1999 film about an elderly curmudgeon who heard about his brother who had had a stroke. Since they hadn't been on speaking terms for many years, Alvin decides to go to his brother Lyle to make things right. He decided to go by lawn mower since he couldn't drive a car, and he hated buses. Based on a true story, the trip across Wisconsin and Iowa was met with many unusual incidents.
Pastor Stew made the point of being sensitive to the Holy Spirit when He speaks into our lives to be ready to obey, make things right, serve. As believers, we are to be free from fear and ready to embrace the unknown with which the Lord will bless us.
